The Central Scotland PRA Members & Committee
Office Bearers
A little reminder for all members of the branch from the minutes of the Scottish Regional meeting that took place in Perth on Saturday 15th November 2008. AOB: Terry Mc Court (Central) due to incidents occurring with branch members going behind the backs of branch committees and writing to organisations i.e. OSCR to the Regional Secretary and to RHQ on Branch matters he asked if we should be singing of the same song sheet. Qoute, “If you have any problem with an individual you first of all try to resolve you’re concern with that person informally. If you are unable to solve your dispute you’re next point of contact is to write to the Secretary of the Branch informing them of you’re grievance and ask the Committee to investigate. If not satisfied with the answers given by the Committee, then you should inform the Committee that you wish them to write to the Regional Secretary. If they feel it necessary they will do so.” Unquote The above was agreed at the area meeting PROPOSED by Brian Clark (Dundee) and Seconded by Bob Crocker (Aberdeen) This was signed off by ALLAN BURGESS The Secretary also read out the Branch complaints procedure (Scottish Region) from the Branch AGM minutes dated December 2008 Qoute: “The Region adopted the ruling unanimously on the 15th November 2008 that has to be relayed to all individual members in each branch that if there ever arises a situation where a member has a complaint or grievance, whether it be with another member or members of the Committee then they must as a matter of fact speak to that person (s) in the first instance and informally try to resolve the matter. Failing that they then must make a formal complaint in writing to their branch Secretary so that the branch Committee can adjudge the situation at hand. Anyone who does not follow this procedure and makes any complaint about any matter to an outside organization like OSCR or The Regional Secretary to name but a few will be guilty of bringing the branch into disrepute. You must go through your branch Committee” Unqoute |
